So it's been a while since Dave and I have actually had a date and on pay-day we decided we might as well head on out for a steak and enjoy each other's company properly rather than simply grunt at each other on the sofa as usual. We've been together 3 years on May 1st which is surprising for both of us seeing as we both thought we'd have killed each other by now. The weather has been a bit temperamental in my neck of the woods - sunny spells quickly turning to overcast clouds and it's been ridiculously windy all the time. I didn't want to wear a dress or skirt because of the looming threat of rain so I settled on this little ensemble. I adore this jumper and it's quickly become one of my favourite items of clothing for the fact it's both slouchy but can be dressed up a little. It's also super soft (thanks Lenor Fabric Conditioner). I'm back in love with my scarf collection and really like this cameo print as it seems to match almost everything. Apologies for the appearing to have half a leg in the photos above but I had to steady myself against the wall with my foot (darned wind). I kept my make-up simple with, what I hoped was, a nod to Audrey Hepburn. It's winged eyeliner with a slight cat-flick. Everything else was kept really neutral and glossy. My hair was in a simple pony-tail with my fringe down now it's finally been trimmed. It might be a while until our next date night but hopefully *fingers crossed* the weather will be better by then so I can finally pull out something a little more feminine and pretty!
