When picking an eyeshadow I chose to get one in pan form so I could eventually build up a little quad, I haven't gotten round to it yet but I will soon. All That Glitters seemed like an easy choice for me, it's a popular shade that I knew I would get a lot of use out of. It's a champagne-gold shade that is very easy to wear on its own or as a base shade under other eyeshadows. It's so versatile and if you are looking into getting your first MAC eyeshadow this is definitely a good place to start.
MAC eyeshadows are pricey so I expected really good things and I haven't been disappointed. This is such a pigmented product that is easily blended when on your eyelid. At £10 I think I will always be a bit hesitant when it comes to making my quad but I do understand what the hype is about now though. I've already used this a lot and it's quickly becoming one of my favourite eyeshadows. I've been enjoying using it on it's own with a coat of mascara or combined with some smokey brown shades for a stronger look. With a primer I find that this lasts all day with no trouble, without a primer I do notice a bit of fading during the afternoon but nothing major and I always tend to use a primer anyway.
I do now get what all the hype is about but I think making my own quad will be enough for me!
Have you tried any MAC eyeshadows? Also what's your favourite brand for eyeshadow?
