When I think about Mary Kay as a brand, what comes to mind is SERIOUS SKINCARE and MAKEUP Brand. But everything changed when I got their most recent makeup collection called "MaryKayatPlay". The packaging itself screams "play with me!" Who would've thought neon green and pink would go well together?
Mary Kay at Play color is all about FUN and all about YOU. This is a subtle way for Mary Kay to tell you to say "bye bye" to your usual look and have fun playing mix-and-match! Yes, we do not leave mixing and matching only to Professional make up artists, you can do them at home!
Mary Kay at Play Baked Eye Trio
Baked Eye Trio contains three matching shades, coordinated shades that you can be bold in trying out as a wash of color on lids, contour the eye crease or can be used to apply the lower lash line for an instant pop! These baked shadows remind me so much of MAC Mineralized Eye Shadow Trios!
Ocean View
Ocean view is a collaboration of blue shades! The palette includes silver, teal and blue eyeshadow shades.
Swatch on arm without primer
Tuxedo
Tuxedo is a combination of white, silver and glittery black eye shadow shades. Perfect for smoky eye makeup or any party make up look!
Swatch on arm without primer
As for my initial thoughts ---
- These baked eye trios are very pigmented.
- Applies smoothly on lid.
- Buildable color.
- Good color payoff.
- Can't tell if the eyeshadow will crease on its own (without an eyeshadow primer), will report back as soon as I get the chance to use these often!
**These will be available on sale for Php499.00 (approx $11.35) beginning November 16, 2013 through a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant.
Next, Mary Kay at Play also includes Jelly Lip Glosses in their collection!
Mary Kay At Play Jelly Lip Gloss
in Teddy Bare
Applied on Lips
A very natural lip shade perfect for all skin types.
Mary Kay At Play jelly Lip Gloss
in Berry Me
Applied on Lips
A "just bitten" or "just kissed" lips with awesome shine!
My initial thoughts on Mary Kay at Play Jelly Lip Glosses ---
- Provides sexy-wet look.
- Lips feel moisturized and soft even after removal.
- Stays on longer as compared to other lip glosses.
- Quite sticky and a bit challenging to apply for first-timers.
**Available for Php355.00 (approx $8.00) beginning November 16, 2013 through a Mayr Kay Independent Beauty Consultant.
Judging by my initial thoughts and swatches, would you give Mary Kay At Play products a try?
Which will you purchase? The Baked Eye Trio or Jelly Lip Glosses?
I can't wait to create eye make up looks with the baked trios! I love them more than the lip glosses!
