Favourite brushes.

I was requested to do a post on all of my favorite brushes and what i recommend. I thought i'd jump straight into doing this as it's a great idea and i'd love to shares my favorite tools of my trade!

In no particular order, lets get started!

The first brush i'm going to talk about is the Real Techniques 'Setting Brush':

This brush is a must have for every make-up lover/artist. I love using this brush applying powder highlighters and with its tappered head, it is also great for powder under the eyes.

Eco Tools 'Custom Coverage Buffing Brush':
This is my holy grail foundation brush, perfect density and shape. Being flat top it's ideal for buffing in product for an even coverage all over. I use this brush with liquid foundations.

E.L.F Professional 'Blending Eye Brush':

For $3.00AU this brush is an all round winner. Blending brushes are an essential to anyone's collection. This brush is more of a fluffy type blender and i usually use it either to apply crease colours as it sit's perfectly in the crease or to blend out any other shadows.

Real Techniques 'Deluxe Crease Brush':

As all the Real Technique brushes are synthetic they can be used with dry or wet products. Despite the name i actually use this brush for concealer on my clients. The round head makes blending out creams so quick and easy and means i can quickly conceal under the eye as its a sensitive area for clients to have worked on.
Purchase here.

Crown 'Deluxe Mini Fan Brush':

This is another super handy brush for clients. Working on the eye area is the most sensitive so you want to be able to work quickly so they can be as comfortable as possible. I use this brush for mascara, after going in with a disposable wand, i coat the ends of the brush in mascara or liner the paint over the roots of the lashes (super handy and necessary for blondes/light haired clients). This also helps to minimize the risk of getting any mascara on the lid as it's super thin and places product exactly where you need.

Crown 'Deluxe Oval Shadow':

This brush is ideal for a wash of colour over the lids, base colour or more concentrated crease colour. I almost always end up using this for creating a sharp contour under the cheek bones or contouring the nose.

Real Techniques 'Accent Brush':
This brush is amazing! So tiny and dense. I use this either to smudge out shadow/liner on the bottom and top lash line or for cut creases. This can also be used for precise spot concealing.

 Natio Flat Top Brush:
This little brush has been a life saver. Flat rectangular heads are a need for apply lip products to clients. The straight edges means you can get a crisp lip line. The small handle is ideal for working with precession.
Unfortunately i can't find a link to where you can purchase this. I got this brush in a small travel set as a gift a few years ago.

Crown 'Deluxe Crease':
This is a great one for more precession blending because of the smaller, denser head. I like to use this for applying crease colours and for darkening the 'outer-V' as it blends at the same time.

Limelilly 'Angled Blusher Brush':

I'm so in love with this brush. The soft natural hairs help make contouring and bronzing a breeze. I used this to blend out sharp contours and to bronze around the face.

Mac 249 (Fake):

Before you guys freak out, i bought this about 5 years ago in a set off eBay before i new anything about make-up. Having said that, this brush has turned out to be a gem. I love to use this for concealing under the eyes, it has synthetic bristles and the large head helps to make the job quick and easy.
I can't remember the seller but if you were to search 120 Mac brush set im sure you could find something similar.

Limelilly Small Angled Brush:
If there was such thing as a perfect eyebrow brush it would be this one! This brush is the absolute best! It has the smallest head and the perfect amount of angle. I've been using this for my brows since the very first time i started filling them in and never want to change. I wish these were sold separately because i really want one or five for my kit!

Real Techniques 'Base Shadow Brush':

Another great brush from RT, this brush is so soft and applies shadows so nicely to the lid! The tapered heads is great for turning it on it's side and using it in the crease.

E.L.F Professional 'Defining Eye Brush':
I love my ELF brushes. The soft angled head helps blend out any colours that you want to keep in a certain area such as cut creases and lower lash line.
Purchase from Kmart $3.00AU

Master Makeup 'Blending Brush #6':

My favorite brush of all. This is the most perfect blending brush! Perfect shape, density and softness. Makes blending out shadows so easy. I only own two brushes from the Dean Nixon line but i definitely want to buy all of them. Great quality.
Purchase here.

Limelilly 'Blush Brush':

Favorite blush brush. Perfect size, shape and softness to add the perfect amount of colour and blends it as you apply.
Purchase here.

Mac 205 (Fake):

Another brush from the set that i kept was this fan brush. Fan brushes are always handy to have. I use mine to add contours under the cheek bones, to highlight cheek bones and to wipe away fall out.

 Master Makeup 'Eyeliner Brush #5':
Despite the name this is my perfect pencil brush. Great to use under the lower lash line, smudging liner and adding definition to the crease.
Purchase here.

Physicians Formula Blush Brush:

This little brush came with my Natural Blush that i purchased at the start of the year. I love this for chiseling out cheek bones, think Nars 'Ita' Brush, same concept and works great.
Purchase here,
